Winter Activities
SNOWMOBILING
Snowmobiling is an amazing adventure at Morning Mist Resort.
The A trail comes right by our doorstep allowing guests to drive their snowmobiles from their cottages right to the trail.
A general store with all the amenities such as gas, basic groceries and an LCBO is located right beside us.
We offer food service to those coming off the trail. A free continental breakfast is included with a cottage rental, so you leave with a full stomach on those cold mornings.
The RAP tour is in full swing in January and February. We are in the heart of the Missing Link Snowmobile Club trail system.
Ice fishing
The resort is located right on the shores of the Ottawa River. We have several ice fishing huts that are situated on shoals and drop offs. Each hut is equipped with lights and propane heat. Walleye, pike and ling are the common species in the winter.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is an outdoor activity that can be shared by the entire family. As Morning Mist Resort boasts over 5 k.m. of snowshoeing trails, come and enjoy a great activity. Afterwards, head back to your cabin for a hot cup of hot chocolate.
Skiing

Located about 35 minutes west of Morning Mist Resort, Antoine Mountain is a great ski adventure for the whole family. If your a skier or snowboarder, Antoine Mountain is the place to be. Nestled in the small community of Mattawa, Antoine Mountain boasts runs for the beginner and the expert.
